During the 2017-18 school year, each grade span has been working on a deeper dive into what the blended learning goal means for their grade levels.  The 2017-18 blended learning goal of “Thoughtful, intentional and engaging instruction that utilizes technology resources to help students learn” will continue to develop during the 2018-19 school year.  In regards to device implementation, C-I Schools will be 1:1 in grades 3-12 with the introduction of our first 2-in-1 Chromebooks at the 6th and 9th grade levels.  This will allow students to learn from the best of both the Chromebook and Tablet digital environments.  These Chromebooks, when opened 360 degrees turn into tablet mode and will run as an Android tablet allowing for use of Android apps that aren’t necessarily available on a Chromebook.  These new Chromebooks also have touch technology that allows for this 2-in-1 functionality.  At the K-2 level, the 2-in-1 Chromebooks will be introduced to staff and plans will be developed for transitioning from the iPad to the 2-in-1 Chromebooks over the next couple of years.
