Course Proposal Form

Course Proposal requests can be started anytime of the year and will be reviewed by the District Curriculum Committee and the Principals/Teaching & Learning Coordinators annually in the fall, with a final recommendation made by the Director of Teaching & Learning. Requests recommended by the Director of Teaching & Learning will be heard by the school board each year in December.


Complete this form after discussing the proposal with your team/department, building administration and Building Instructional Leadership Team. Only complete applications will be reviewed.


While the forms are reviewed, a meeting will need to be scheduled with a Curriculum Coordinator to ensure there are no further questions or requested documentation prior to a final review. The role of the Curriculum Coordinators at this step are to provide support in your full completion of the proposal.


There are types of course proposals:

  • Course Additions: New course available on registration guides at Cambridge-Isanti Schools

  • Course Modification: Existing courses that require a modification such as a name change, significant modification to units, transition from in-person course to hybrid or online course, or similar.

  • Course Deletion: Complete removal of a course from registration guides - not to be offered in future years.
