Resources

Everything you need to know for the day (we think!) can be found on the C-I Schools Professional Development site (see URL short link below). Here you will find the schedule for the morning, room maps, and topic resources, as well as information on what to bring and ways to prepare for the day.

Learning

The day is yours: it revolves around choices for educators. We have structured the day to include time to deepen your knowledge in various topics, tackle specific tasks, and spend precious time with colleagues. We have created learning opportunities for you to explore, hoping that you will find connections between the topics and feel supported to explore your own interests. It is important for you to know that most “sessions” do not have a start or end time. They are designed to be “drop-in” sessions so that you can spend as much, or as little, time as you want on that topic. Our recommendation is that you review the schedule before October 14th and create a plan that works for you.

Recommendations:

  • You will need a fully charged district laptop or chromebook. If you don’t have a district laptop or chromebook, you may stop by the CIHS cafeteria any time between 7:15-8:00 am on October 14th  to check out a chromebook for the morning. Your ability to access online resources and information is critical to a successful day.

  • Your Google Apps for Education account (@isd911.org) is needed to save information and begin collaboration with colleagues. Please make sure you can log into your ISD 911 Google Apps for Education account before October 14th!  Contact an Academic or Technology Integration Coach if you need help.

  • Please make sure to review the descriptions of the sessions you plan to attend. Make sure to have any materials, resources or logins needed.

Looking forward to a great day of learning!!
